New Style Icon: Charlotte Gainsbourg.

I picked up a new photo book this afternoon.

Patrick Demarchelier. Incredible. I love it.

While flipping through the massive collection of pages, I came across one photo I loved...

I love her look. Her style is effortless. Just like her mom, Jane Birken.

So tempted to cut bangs.

Love the pic.... but take it from me, someone who has tried 3 (yes 3) times. Bags only work on someone who has someone else to style their hair everyday. Shivers go down my spine just thinking of it!

Oh I have had bangs before. In fact, I always have side-sweeping bangs. But I am thinking of cutting them a little less side-sweeping this time.

Go for it. You're young so you can get away with this look. And if you hate it, it's just hair so it will always grow back.

I have had a fringe (bangs) plenty of times. Side-swept, unkempt, choppy and heavy. I've had every kind - and to be honest you don't really need to be a super stylist to work with the everyday fringe.

I think it helps that I have fine, straight hair though. I imagine the curlies could be quite unmanageable.

I am fortunate that my hair only has natural wave that kicks in once it hits a certain length. My bangs never go wavy. Always super straight.

I am thinking I am totally gonna do this! Besides... Long bangs are easy to hide if they don't work out.

Dooo it! Life is too short to miss out on hair experimentation!

You're totally right... a bobby pin will save the day if something goes horribly wrong.

I love love love Charlotte Gainsbourg. I'm also a fan of her half sister Lou Dillon's style as well. I say go for the bangs as well!!
